Denise E. Pearce


Denise Elaine Krueger Pearce, 76, of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren on September 13, 2024.

Denise was born November 23, 1947 to Donald and Barbara Krueger. She was a 1965 graduate of Ruskin High School and was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edgar Pearce, on July 1, 1984.

Denise worked as an optician for nearly all of her adult life, until she retired in 2012.  She enriched many lives and made life-long friends throughout her career. 

Denise was an avid crafter and made many beautiful things for those she loved that will be continued to be cherished for years to come. In addition to crafting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren she loved shopping and spending time with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Pearce, parents Donald and Barbara Krueger, and sister Pamela Hower. 

She is survived by her four children, Donald Picard (Tana), John-Paul Picard, Michelle Jobe (Eric), and Theodore Pearce (Amanda); 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and sister Patricia Weeks (Jim).

Memorial Services will be held at Royer New Salem Funeral Home in Independence, Missouri on Saturday, October 12,2024 at 11 a.m. with visitation preceding at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
