It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald E. West, age 75, on January 24, 2025. Donald was born on April 2, 1949, in Lone Jack, MO.  Don was an Army Ranger, Vietnam Vet, and spent many years serving his country in the Army Reserves.   He worked as Millwright for Armco and for General Motors prior to retiring. Don was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball.  He was always passionate about his favorite sports teams which included the Missouri Tigers, KC Chiefs, and KC Royals. 

Don was preceded in death by his parents Yula Stone and Walt West, as well as his brother Denny West. He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne West; his children, Crickette West, Cristin Hackley and her spouse Aaron, and Chad West; and his sister Cheryl Hetzel.  Don is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Bailee, Hunter, and Luna Hackley and Julian Gutierrez.   Don’s legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in the Spring.
