Dorothy Jena Zumwalt, 78, of Kansas City, MO passed away June 26, 2022.
Visitation will be 11:00-11:30 a.m. Thursday June 30, 2022 at Royer’s New Salme Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment at New Salem Cemetery.
Dorothy Jean Zumwalt was born on December 22, 1943 in Joplin, MO to Robert and Grace O’Dell. Dorothy was the youngest of 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Dorothy was loyal to her family and liked to bake cakes and liked to cook for her family. She enjoyed gardening and knitting. Dorothy also loved going out of town to visit relatives.
Dorothy is survived by her son: Kenneth Zumwalt Jr & wife Karen; 2 brothers: Ray Stribling, Ron Anderson; 1 granddaughter: Nicole Conner & husband Blake; 2 great-grandchildren: Natalie and Brady.
