E. Travis Christopher Worthington, 46, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. on Saturday, July 11th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, to defray the cost of funeral expenses, checks may be made payable to Sophia Worthington.
Travis was born March 16, 1974 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Leslie and Rosalie (Wolfe) Worthington. He graduated from Metro Christian Academy in 1993. Travis followed in his fathers footsteps and enlisted in the US Air Force and served his country for 2 years. Travis and Sophia were wed November 20th and were married for 18 years. He was employed by Polytainers for 10 years where he was a lead Process Technician. Travis enjoyed fishing with his kids and bonfires with his family. He was always working on a project and was always up moving around. Travis liked to tinker and work on cars, there was never anything he could not fix or build. He coached youth football and wrestling in Grain Valley for over 10 years. Travis was a diehard Bronco’s fan his entire life. He had a heart of gold and could make anyone smile. Travis was very positive and always willing to offer guidance. He was a genuine, kind man that would do anything for anyone.
Travis is preceded in death by his father, Leslie L. Worthington.
He is survived by his mother, Rosalie Worthington of Grain Valley, MO; wife, Sophia Worthington; son, Jaden Andrew Worthington; daughter, Jenna Lynn Worthington; son, Jace Christopher Worthington, all of Grain Valley, MO; daughter, Gillian Worthington of Tulsa, OK.
