Eddie Dewayne Duncan, 71, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. His memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs, 301 SW Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO. 65015. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at: www.mda.org

Eddie was born January 28, 1951 in Trenton, Missouri. The son of Frank and Dorothy Marie (Kinnison) Kavanaugh. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union~Local #2 for 30 years. After Eddie’s retirement, the next 10 years he worked as a seasonal worker for the Blue Springs Park and Recreation Dept.  Eddie was an excellent handyman and was always willing to tackle any task that was asked of him. He enjoyed camping, bowling, swimming, and many family game nights. Eddie will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband and father.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Duncan; sister, Peggy Ann Jarman; and granddaughter, Hannah Leigh Chance.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Paula Duncan of the home; son, Christian Duncan; daughter, Elizabeth (Darin) Chance; mother, Dorothy Kavanaugh; and many nieces and nephews.
