Florene was a magnificent lady and friend. We will all miss her very much. I have many high school memories – majorette, music groups, cheerleading, basketball, yearbooks, school newspaper. Blessings to her family.

Florene was my secretary when I cam to Grain Valley to serve as the new Superintendent of Schools. She was a fount of information about the community. We would prepare a newsletter each month, she proof read my writings and corrected my spelling from time to time. We collated and stabled together in the Board room and had some wonderful conversations about all that was Grain Valley. I trusted her opinions and welcomed her advice. She was so much more than a secretary. She was an important piece of all that was good about the community she loved and served. She was special. My prayers and sympathies to all who mourn her passing. A wonderful piece of Grain Valley’s history has gone home. Thanks be to God for his love and compassion.

I’m so sorry to hear of Florene’s passing. She was such a special lady. My sister, Mary was in the same graduating class. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.
