
Eldon Lloyd Clemens, 88, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab, Oak Grove, MO. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, with visitation from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. followed by the memorial at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Wakenda Cemetery in Hardin, MO, at a later date.
Eldon was born March 7, 1931, in Hardin, Missouri, the son of Roscoe R. and Anna L. (Halterman) Clemens. He went to high school in Excelsior Springs, MO, where he lived on a farm with his parents, 6 brothers, and a sister. Eldon married Daisy Jean Simmons on June 6, 1954 and three children were born of that marriage. He and his family moved to Oak Grove, MO for 20 years. Eldon worked for Sheffield Steel Co. in Kansas City, MO for 14 years and later worked in excavating, where he ran a bulldozer. He lived his last years in Leesburg, FL close to his sister.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Richard Clemens, Donald Clemens, and Leonard Clemens.
His survivors include three children: Randy Clemens (Shelly) of Raytown, MO, Timothy Clemens (Lori) of Blue Springs, MO, and Gina Clemens of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren: Randy Dale Clemens of Houston, TX, Jamee McNally (Matthew) of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Amy Russmussen (Daniel) of Blue Springs, MO; five great-grandchildren; three brothers: Loren Clemens (Judy), Kenneth Clemens (Shanon), and Curtis Clemens; his sister, Marilyn Sims; and sister-in-law, Betty Edgar.
