Gene was born February 24, 1929 at home in Dry Prong, LA to Maliga Joshua & Gladys Beatrice (Pace) Transier. She attended Dry Prong High School. Emma was married to Waldo Sisk of Couch, MO for almost 70 years. Gene worked for Waids Restaurant for nearly 50 years and enjoyed the friendships she made there. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and crocheting. Most of all, Gene enjoyed spending time with her family. Gene loved to share her life on the farm with her nieces and nephews and opened her home to any family member in need of love and a place to say. She would plan for weeks on what food she was going to take to the family reunions. Gene so looked forward to those times of getting together with her family and the family reunions. The family cruise she went on was a sweet memory we know she cherished forever. Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to us.
Gene was preceded in death by her daughter: Margaret Clarice McPhail just 2 short weeks after her birth; husband Waldo Sisk in 2017; sister: Beverly Sisk in 2021.
Gene is survived by her sisters: Geraldine Brewer of Pocahontas, AR, Jewel Beaver of Stillwell, OK; brothers: Michael Transier of Pollock, LA, Leonard Transier of Dry Prong, LA; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces, great-great nephews who are all very dear to her.
Thank you for joining us today for a Celebration of her life. May you be blessed.
