Evelyn Nadine Brown, 85, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away at her home, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16th at Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Baptist Church, Oak Grove Missouri.
Evelyn was the daughter of Harry and Clara (Skinner) Williams. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Oak Grove, MO. She had worked at Hallmark before raising and caring for her son, Dan, to whom she was completely devoted. Later, she worked retail for many years. Her hobbies were sewing and cooking, reading, working word search games and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. She loved watching the Kansas City Royals and The Kansas Jayhawks. Her greatest passion was working in her vegetable garden, her many flowers and her lawn. Evelyn will be missed by all who knew her. She is one of a kind and a loving person.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her three sisters, Daisy Smith, Ruth Brownfield, and Freida Williams.
Her survivors include one son, Daniel Brown of Independence; three nieces and one nephew and their spouses: Glenda and Tim Casey of Oak Grove; Brenda and Mike Hurshman of Belton; Star Mitchell of Grain Valley and Jim and Marsha Brownfield of Minier, Illinois; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many great-nieces and nephews.
