Frank Thomas Porter, 70, of Buckner, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 21st at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO.
Frank was born January 3, 1945 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Frank and Lois (Miller) Porter. The family moved to Fontana, California, where he grew up with his older sister Patricia and younger siblings, Patrick, Kim, Todd, Craig, and Kathleen. Frank married Jan Parks on February 25, 1965. They lived in Riverside, California, where they raised their daughter, Susannah, and were business owners. They then moved to Buckner, where they resided for 22 years. Frank was a husband of 50 years, a father, a business owner, a pilot, and a beekeeper.
He is survived by his wife, Jan; daughter, Suzy; three grandchildren: Alexandra, Jonathon, and Sidney; six great-grandchildren: Jayden, Brooklyn, Mackensie, Vance, Ashlin, and Kai.
