
Frankie Pearl Ruth (Cox), age 86, of Kansas City, MO, died June 13, 2025 at Centerpoint Medical Center due to heart complications. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Frankie was born January 24, 1939 in Jordan, MO. She was the daughter of Frank and Effie Cox. She graduated from Cross Timbers High School. She married Richard Ruth on January 18, 1958. They had two children, Ray and Rhonda. She worked for Sears Department Store and in her later years she used her excellent cooking experience, and was a manager for a Raytown Elementary Cafeteria. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing board games, sewing, and cooking. She was well known for her chocolate sheet cake, blackberry cobbler, cinnamon rolls, German chocolate cake, and her homemade noodles. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t cook. She enjoyed going to watch her great grandchildren play their sports. She will be missed by many friends and family.
Frankie is survived by; her son Ray Ruth and spouse Dawn, 2 grandchildren, Ryan Ruth, Sarah Taylor and spouse David, 4 great grandchildren; Jordan, Miles, Luke, and Teagan. She was preceded in death by; her parents, husband Richard, daughter Rhonda and her 4 brothers, Monroe Cox, W.F. Cox, Richard Cox, and Joe Cox. 2 nieces Francis Hossman & Carol (Bud) Higgenbothem.
