Gary L. Hawk, 67, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home, after a long battle with health complications. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 3rd in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
Gary is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart. Gary enjoyed working with computers and computer programming. He loved spending time with his family and his favorite place was Dallas, TX.
Gary is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Linda (Lyons) Hawk; four children: Tammy Johnson (Greg) of Blue Springs, MO, Tonia Stava of Oak Grove, Tom and Chris Hawk of Illinois. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Brandon Johnson (Halston) of Ft. Riley, KS, Ben Johnson (Michelle) of San Antonio, TX, Brooke Plumb (Chris) of Blue Springs, MO, Jamie Wright of Oak Grove, Kara Stava of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Amber Stava of Oak Grove; and one great-grandchild, Athena Plumb.
