27 Oct 2020I remember Harriet as someone who was always ready to jump in and help when there was a need. This is an example from our early years. Our house was heated with a wood stove and we had no indoor plumbing so we carried water from our grandparents house nearby. One early morning in the dead of winter, there was a fire in the flu and Forresty shouted for everyone to get out of the house. When we all assembled outside, Harriet was missing. Just as Mom started back in to look for her, here she came, scurrying down the path, barefoot and in her nightgown carrying the dishpan full of water to fight the fire. Thank you for everything you did for me. Sleep now my Hanny Ann. I love you. Always have. Always will. ~ Brenda

27 Oct 2020My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Harriet Shipman. It is a sad time, and to perhaps bring some comfort, please know that our Creator is not indifferent to your suffering. He will soon bring a complete solution. You can read this, in the Bible, at Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:3,4. It says, in part, that God will wipe away all of our tears, and death will be no more. I am very sorry for your loss. ~ E. M. Hubler
