
Jack William Coop, 88 of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. A burial of ashes is being held at 2:00 p.m. at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, MO on Friday, November 18, 2016. A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Heartland Church, 400 SW Lake Village Blvd, Blue Springs, MO. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. also at the church. In lieu of flowers contribution can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Jack was born on July 1 1928, son of Elwin and Arthene Coop. He was very involved in church, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, playing cards, games and riding bikes. Jack was a hardworking man who loved his daughters and family more than anything. He had a heart of gold and his humor was definitely contagious.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Beverly (Desboro) Coop in September of 1998. His survivors include his 2 daughters, Nancy (Timothy) Oakes of Independence, MO, and Patricia (Daniel) Burns of Blue Springs, MO; 6 step-children, Marcella and Otto Totten, Martha and Steve Smith, Anthony and Donna Mathison, Marlene Mathison, Kim and Sue Mathison, and Chris and Marilyn Mathison, 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Timothy and Nicholas; and 2 great-grandchildren, Brennen and Dahlia.
