James Eldon Smith Jr., 66 of Blue Springs, MO, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
James was born in Richmond, MO on May 13, 1958 to Reverend James Eldon Smith Sr and Dovie Ruth Smith. He had a life long career at Mid America Roller Company, where he retired after 40 years of service.
James is preceded in death by his father, mother and older sister, Linda.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn. His sister Romona, His children: Karey, JoAnna, Bonnie, Kandi, (Jim) James. His grandchildren: Elijah, Calvin, Kyrie, Isaac Brianna, Zoey, Gracie, Noah, Sonny, Savannah. His great-grandchildren: Averi and Kasen.
James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed nature, sitting by a fire pit with his lovely wife and beloved dog Annie. He loved his role as a grandpa and would light up as he spent time with them. He was a comic book lover, enjoyed long walks, spending time with family and playing video games. He was a big kid at heart.
