James Lee (Jimmy) Morris, 50, of Blue Springs Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 23, 2024 at Centerpointe Hospital.
The family will have a private Graveside service with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
Jimmy was born in August of 1974 in Kansas City. The son of Glenn Morris and Linda Moody.
Jimmy worked many years in the lawn and landscape field and then moved into roofing metal fabrication. He was very talented in this field.
His love and passion was in dirt track racing. This passion started at a young age working on his father’s and step-fathers cars. He would eventually get into the driver’s seat. Success came quickly and he became known as “Jammin” Jimmy Morris. Throughout his driving career he piloted Enduro cars, Street Stocks, Modifieds and Late Models.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Moody; step-sister Rebekkah Taylor.
He is survived by his daughter Alyssa Morris; father and step-mother Glenn & Janet Morris; step-father Alan Moody (Pam); sister Trish Barker (David); brother Brandon Morris (Arin); step-brother Jim Moody (Taelor); step-sister Kristen Simonson (Josh) and many nieces and nephews
