Janet Sue Kimbrell, 78, peacefully passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was raised in Sibley, MO and resided in Buckner, MO her whole life. She graduated from Fort Osage in 1964 and retired from Lake City in Independence MO.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when her children needed her the most. She offered love and support in abundance. Her legacy of Kindness and Strength was shared with many. Her love for the great outdoors was contagious! We all remember her patio full of flowers and amazing rocks from all over. She would never pass up a spontaneous road trip, drive around the country, day of fishing or a BBQ with family. Don’t forget her love for Rock & Roll!

Janet was preceded in death by her brother Louis Kimbrell, sister Clara Kimbrell, parents Dove and Deanie Kimbrell and grandson Austin Vantine.

She is survived by her three children Franklin Robinson, Misty Gates and Jerod Gates (Dea Deuser). Siblings: Lynn Meredith (Randy), Abe Kimbrell (Connie) and Teena Sharp. Grandchildren: Amber, Louie, Aaron, Dakota, Dillon, Arriana, Kinsey, Alyvia.

Many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
