Jeremy J. Brasel

Jeremy tragically left us and this world Monday 2/17/2020.

He was 28 years young and just celebrated his 28th birthday 1/31/2020.

He leaves behind his precious little daughter, Marleigh Zariaya Brasel of Lee’s Summit Mo; his parents, Phil and Deb Brasel of Lone Jack Mo; His great grandparents: Jerry and Doris Brasel, and Larry and Mary Zion of Lee’s Summit; Sisters: Tara Brasel and Jessica Brasel of Lone Jack Mo; Nieces and nephews: Lyric and Ryder Riggs and Trinity and Myles Brasel, all from Lone Jack Mo.

Jeremy loved life, his daughter Marleigh, his friends, and his family with every inch of his being.

He always had a smile on his face and a good word out of his mouth to everyone.

One of our favorite things to say to each other most every day was that we loved each other to the moon and back.

He had one of the biggest hearts on this earth and he truly loved people.  We will forever mourn his loss and long for another one of his huge hugs. He was a beautiful soul.

Jeremy was one of the most talented people you will ever meet.

He was such an amazing skate boarder. This being one of his favorite things to do and he was one of the best in the Midwest. I remember when he first was learning how to ride a board. He spent hours of frustration tears and dedication and completely transformed like a beautiful butterfly years later. He was breathtaking to watch.

He taught me a life lesson that if you love something enough you can become great at it. Just practice enough, fall and get back on the board. This is what he did for so many years. Amazingly enough as hard as he would fall he never really broke anything.

He literally built a skate park and ramps in our basement at 12 or 13 all by himself. Dad bought all the lumber nails and materials for the project. Went out of town for a weekend of work came back home that we thought a skilled woodworker had showed up and built a complete half pipe in our driveway that was perfect.  Jer did this single handedly all by himself.  We were in complete awe of him and his skills and style.  This was where he found himself, peace and joy and relieved stress he felt in life. The amazing bonds and friendships he made here was his second home and place of release.

Jeremy was also an amazing artist not only on canvas, paper, and walls but in music. He was completely self-taught on the drums and in creating and mixing music on his computer. I so remember him saying Mom Dad listen to this beat I just made or taking his and his sweet baby girls voice and putting it so creatively in a self-made sound of his very own.

It was so special to see watch and hear.

More than anything in this world he loved his family and sweet little baby girl Marleigh Zariaya. He loved spending time together with her and Brittany and us doing whatever someone wanted to do.

We cannot even fathom this moment in time now of having to say goodbye to him and his short time on this earth.

I feel certain that if he could speak to you and us today he would have so very much to say and that he is sorry and that he loves you each.

We will forever mourn for him and for losing him so early in life.

Please don’t let this loss of his life ever fade and go away or let the message we know he would have to share with anyone struggling with addictions and depression and that is….don’t try to do it on your own and to get or accept help and get out while you still can.

Let’s celebrate his life today for all the good and happy but leave with a strong imprint of what you know you need to lay down in your life and let God and let live.

I know he would also leave us each at the door today with a big giant hug and kiss and to say I love you one last time.

Until we see you again in heaven or sweet son, father, grandson, brother and friend we will always love and miss you so much.

Thank you for loving our son so much and for sharing in the celebration of Jeremy’s life with us.

May God bless and keep you and give you peace and understanding today over all things.

With all our love,  The Brasel Family.
