Jimmy L. Moore, 68, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away November 30, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Church.
Jimmy was born January 15, 1943 in Caddo Mills, Texas to Lawrence N. & Elsie P. (Miller) Moore.
Jimmy was a resident of Oak Grove since 1971. He retired from General Motors in 1993 after 30 years of service. He also owned his own fence company for forty years. He was involved in little league baseball from 1972 to 1985. Jimmy loved his wife, sons and wives, grandchildren and all his family. He loved fishing, hunting and playing cards with family and friends. He loved going and watching all of his grandchildren play sports. Jimmy was always available to help people whenever help was needed. He served in the National Guard from 1962 to 1967.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: John Wayne Moore, Bobby Lynn Moore, Jerry Glen Moore; sisters: Martha Nell Bishop, Marian Kay Moore.
Jimmy is survived by his wife: Linda Fay (Wilson) Moore of the home; sons: James Michael Moore and wife Theresa of Oak Grove, MO, Dwayne Craig Moore and wife Michelle of Lone Jack, MO; grandchildren: Kodi Lee Moore, Travis James Moore, Jessie Lynn Moore, Bryan Craig Moore and Kaitlyn Ann Moore; brothers: Truman Gene Moore of Osceola, MO, Billy Ray Moore of Mangum, OK, Jessie Earl Moore of El Dorado, KS, Sammy Nile Moore of Mangum, OK; sisters: Elsie Mable Ketchum of Harrisonville, MO, Lola Merle Christopher of Lone Jack, MO , and numerous nieces and nephews.
