JoAnn Blankenship, 79, of Polo, MO, passed away July 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00p.m. Monday July 12, 2021 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral to follow at 2p.m. Burial at New Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
JoAnn was born December 1, 1941 in Lee’s Summit, MO to Clarence L & Catherine L. (Bowman) Bridges. She retired from GEHA with over 30 years’ service. JoAnn enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and going to casinos. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids and her dog “Baby”
JoAnn is survived by her husband Roland of the home; 3 daughters: Leanne Eichmeier of Polo, MO, Donna Evans of Richmond, MO, Cathy Yuille (Ed) of Independence, MO; 1 son: Elgie Honeycutt (Laura) of Stockton, MO; 1 brother: Clarence Bridges (Leanne) of Fair Play, MO; 1 sister: Maxine Hightower of Independence, MO.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence & Catherine Bridges; 2 daughters: Kathy Stewart, Tina Reynolds; 2 sons: Roland Blankenship II, Leroy Blankenship; 1 brother: Floyd Bridges.
