JoAnn Johnston, 78, of Lone Jack, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Sni Mills Cemetery, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
JoAnn was born November 29, 1940, the daughter of George and Minnie Mae (Hill) Allmon. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, square dancing, going to garage sales, and making crafts. JoAnn also enjoyed going to see the Big Creek Country Show and going to Branson. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. Johnston; and three siblings: Margie, Marion, and George.
Her survivors include three children: Johnnie Johnston (Sonya) of Kansas City, MO, Jeffrey Johnston (Cindy) of Garden City, MO, and Julie Phillips (Andy) of Raymore, MO; eight grandchildren: Jacob, Travis, Brianna, Jessica, Jackie, Devyn, Dillyn, and Dawsyn; three great-grandchildren: Lilly, Pyper, and Knox; brother, Neil Allmon of Hermitage, MO; sister, Donna Deseer of Belton, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
