Miss Johanna “Jo” D. Richards, 44, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at St Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs.  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9^th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Jo was born on February 12, 1977, in Buckner, Missouri, to Terry and Diane (Pierceall) Richards.  She lived in Buckner until she was 15 years old, then moved to Oak Grove, graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1995, and remained an Oak Grove resident.  Jo was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church and was also a member of Faith Community Church, both of Oak Grove.  She was very active in both churches and in the community with things like ringing the Salvation Army Bell, Vacation Bible School, Awana’s, Helpers Hand Ministry, and the list could go on and on about how she helped so many people in so many ways.  Jo was a great example of how people are to love like Jesus.

Survivors include her father, Terry Richards; her mother, Diane Pierceall; older brother, Paul Richards; younger sisters, Brooke Foster and Rori Richards; two nieces, two great-nephews, and three great-nieces.
