3 Oct 2023Dear Patty, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your husband, and partner. I will tell you it comes as a shock especially
when I see his name in writing. I, too, was married to John Philpott for a lifetime of memories and it is a bit disconcerting to see them, their names, in print (what’s up with that?). My husband was John Michael Philpott. Mike. You already know what I’m thinking if I say “”well, they were Philpott! “I will share one of my best memories of Chuck and Mike together, and you won’t believe it, but, it was right there in the Oak Grove Cemetary. (We called it the Philpott cemetery, but whatever. We were back there on vacation and had been tasked with filming the headstones. Chuck joined us and the two of them had a fantastic time telling stories and life experiences together once they got over the shock of noting that ALL of the male Headstone said John,! I was so glad to see you chose to bury him there with all the others. What a time they must be having now. Also, Chuck was very supportive to Mike as he went through his life’s final journey and I can’t tell you how much that meant to him, us. I hope you will find again someday your joy in the memories of all the good that Chuck was. I will be missing Chuck and the connection, sent with love and fond memories, Cynthia Philpott and Family in California,
PS I, too, have a nephew Jim Brewer, small world, and I thank him for his posting.
