John D. McManamin


John Doyle McManamin, 75, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.

John was born March 17, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Bernard and Gwendolin (Johnson) McManamin.  He was a 3-tour Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Navy.  John was an over-the-road truck driver.  He loved to go riding on his Harley Davidson with his friend, Daryl Eli.

John’s survivors include his wife, Judy McManamin of the home; son, Mike McManamin (Tracie) of Gravois Mills, MO; daughter, Karen McManamin of Edina, MO; grandchildren: Danielle Wessley of Osage Beach, MO, Nicholas McManamin and Jacob McManamin of Gravois Mills; and sister, Gale Leach of Independence, MO.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  10. Judy, I was sorry to hear about John’s passing. As Christians, we believe God is Love, we yearn for Love and we all will return to Love. At our age, it’s nice to know that God’s in this too.
