John Douglas (Doug) Schiefelbusch, born June 30th, 1951 to John Melvin and Mary (Marge) Schiefelbusch, Doug went into his eternal rest on May 28th, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Doug dearly loved two things…his family and music. When he wasn’t singing or playing his trombone, he was enjoying his family. He always made sure that he did everything he could to enrich their lives. His family was the source of his strength. He loved being a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather, brother and brother-in-law. He made a lasting impression on all of us, and he will be missed until that glorious day when Jesus Christ comes back to take His flock home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Melvin and Mary (Marge) Schiefelbusch, and a sister, Denise Gardonia.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Schiefelbusch; two sons, Bill, and wife Tricia, and Ben Schiefelbusch; three grandchildren, Candace, Caleb, and Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Sophia, and Alayna. He is also survived by a sister, Laurel Donahoo, along with several nieces and nephews.
