Joyce Ann Austin, 79, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Homestead of Olathe Memory Care. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10th at Faith United Methodist Church, 1950 SW Eagles Parkway, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Joyce was born January 31, 1943, in Camdenton, Missouri, the daughter of William Ray and Flossie (Ellis) Whitworth. Joyce married Donald Austin in January 1960. Joyce was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1978. She retired from the Grain Valley School District as a cook. She also enjoyed helping at the church whenever needed. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, daughter Lisa, and stepson Randy. She is survived by her daughter Lori Brown (Phil), son Donald Austin Jr. and stepdaughter Debbie Love (Brian). Joyce had twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Joyce had two brothers, Raymond and Billy, and sisters Phyllis, Marietta, Rosalie, Donna, Linda, Barbara, and Veda.
