June Dora Moore, 79, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. June Dora Moore (Bradley) was born December 27, 1942, in Independence, MO. June celebrated 61 years of marriage to Robert (Bob) Moore last September. They were the world to each other. June was a wonderful homemaker and mother; she was passionate about anything creative. June was extremely talented artistically and her interests were wide. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, silversmithing, crocheting, knitting, oil painting, pastels, acrylics, wood carving, airbrushing, leather work, photography, yarn making, and so much more. June made many of her own clothes but truly enjoyed making things for other people. Her quilts are true works of art! June enjoyed camping and traveling with Bob to different parts of the US in their RV; often they were on the hunt for new quilting material. June loved reading and playing games on her computer. They had a large garden early on, and she canned almost everything they grew. She was an excellent cook. Her love for animals was a big part of her life; she loved spending time with her cat and dogs! She loved old-time country and gospel music with artists like Patsy Cline, Marty Robbins, and Faron Young.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Pearl Oswald, her father, Felix LeRoy Bradley, and her brother Gene Bradley (Laveta).
June was survived by her husband Robert Moore of Oak Grove, MO, daughter Janice Weightman (Paul) of Loves Park, IL, daughter Dorothy Freeman of Chandler, AZ, granddaughters Janessa Weightman of Cedar Rapids, IA, Matisse Weightman (Pierce Connors) of Holiday Hills, IL, Lucille Freeman of Chandler, AZ, Lillian Freeman of Chandler, AZ and great-grandchildren June Weightman and Callum Connors. June was also survived by her siblings: Joan Harris of Independence, MO, Judy Evatt of Marana, AZ, Karen Howk of Buckner, MO, Jack Bradley (Vicki) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Jeri Sanders (Mike) of Casa Grande, AZ, Colleen Meloche of Phoenix, AZ, Connie Canterbury (Scott) of Lakewood, CO as well as many nieces and nephews.
