Kenny Bourret, 76, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 12th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Kenny was born June 30, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Gordon Kenneth Sr. and Helen (Jones) Bourret. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight and a member of Teamsters Local #41 for 35 years. Kenny loved watching his grandkids play sports, and enjoyed Nascar racing.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris; and his sister, Judy Lamont.
His survivors include six children: Teresa Martin of Fort Scott, KS, Rick (Angelica) Bourret of Kansas City, MO, Mike (Gina) Bourret of Belton, MO, Chris (Joan) Stout of Oak Grove, MO, Cindy Bourret of Belton, MO, and Bobby (Cindy) Bourret of Independence, MO; sixteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
