Kevin Allen Meyers, 27, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11th at the Odessa Restoration Church, 6783 MO 131, Odessa, MO 64076.
Kevin was born October 30, 1992, in Kansas City, Missouri. He had a huge heart and was willing to help anyone. Kevin loved being outside, camping, fishing, and having campfires with his friends. At times, he could be found studying his Bible. Kevin was very mechanical and loved to work on engines of any kind. He was good at thinking outside of the box to get things to work, leaving everyone baffled as to how he did it. Kevin learned many valuable lessons from his Grandpa Mike, and he used those lessons in rebuilding bicycles and fixing cars and lawn mowers. He loved spending time with his 2 younger cousins and helping them learn to ride a skateboard and other fun activities. To them, he was a cool “uncle”.
Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Mike Banks; his grandma, Patricia Walker; and maternal great-grandma & great-grandpa Clark.
His survivors include his mother, Kelly Banks-Neal (Matthew) of Higginsville, MO; his father, Mark Meyers of North Kansas City, MO; maternal grandma, Margo Banks of Independence, MO; grandpa, Roy Walker of Montrose, MO; paternal grandma, Jan Meyers of Michigan; aunt, Kristin Rasnic (Gordy) of Independence; and cousins, Madison Rasnic and Miles Rasnic.
