L. Elizabeth Keyes

Larrene ‘Elizabeth’ Hagaman Keyes (59) was born June 28, 1965, at the end of a long, hot day in Henderson Nevada.  From her young years she was one of the “World’s Greatest Sports Spectators”, beginning with baseball, and expanding into all sports, especially NASCAR as she grew up. She was an avid lover of the Chiefs, Royals and Jeff Gordon. It was never a casual conversation to talk sports with her, for she was a devoted fan and could talk endlessly about anyone or anything mentioned! Elizabeth was a ‘radio girl’ and loved country music and the performers. She got a kick out of radio contests and enjoyed being the winner many times, a particular joy being when she could give her winnings to someone she loved and share the fun!

Elizabeth’s baptism was with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was believer and loved her Savior. She would never miss a church service growing up and loved her times at church camp every summer. She graduated from William Chrisman high school in 1983, where she received the honor of being selected to go to Girl’s State. Elizabeth married Edward Wallner in 1987, a union which produced 2 daughters who have been the delight of their parent’s lives! Elizabeth remarried in 1998 to Dennis Keyes who passed away in 2011.

Elizabeth joined her father, Ronald D. Hagaman, and her grandparents, Grame and Grumpy McGuire, and mother-in-law and dear friend Rita Wallner, from whom she received so much love, in Glory, on February 25, 2025. She is survived by the many dear people who came in and out of her life, always loving and caring for her and wanting the best for her. Her great happiness was her two daughters, Heather (Aaron) Beck and Amber (Ben) Ingram and her best friend and companion Tim Dawes. She was also survived by 4 grandchildren, Ari and Charlee Beck, JJ and Ty Ingram and siblings, Rick (Isabel) Hagman, Dena Pulley, Bo (Jennifer) Hagaman, Tara (Neil) Davis, Lesley Hagaman, Lucas Boyce, sister-in-law Lisa Wallner; stepsisters, Jill (Alix), Jenifer (Stacey), Karyn (Jon) and stepbrother, Dan. She is survived by her stepmother, Yvonne Hagaman and mother and stepfather Dorothy and Larry Boyce. We now give her back to God, with much thanksgiving for the time we got to be with her.

Elizabeth’s memorial service will be held at Eden Heights, 1301 E Sea Ave, Independence Missouri 64050 on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to NAMI or AA.
