
Larry Eugene Lemon, 84, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Larry was born December 25, 1934, in Mercer, Missouri, the son of Jessee “Vere” and Genevieve E. (Ragan) Lemon. He was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years. He also worked at Jackson County Parks & Rec, where he mowed and plowed snow. Larry enjoyed camping, having bonfires, and collected frogs. In the last few years, he did a lot of reading, mostly Danielle Steel books. He also loved mowing the grass on his riding mower.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nadine Lemon in 1996; granddaughter Christina Dosier; brother Johnny Middaugh; and two sisters, Carol Graham and Earlene Fry.
His survivors include three daughters: Sheila Lemon of Oak Grove, Pam Dosier (David) of Grain Valley, MO, and Rhonda Ginn (Jimmy) of Napolean, MO; two sons: Tim Lemon of Oak Grove, and Larry “Lyn” Lemon of Colorado; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Hobgood (Clay) of Warsaw, MO; two brothers: Gaylen Middaugh of Warsaw, and Jimmy Middaugh (Patty) of Grain Valley; and many nieces and nephews.
