August 20, 1966 – November 20, 2024

Larry Eugene Moore, 58, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on August 20, 1966, in Kansas City, Larry grew up and lived in the community he cherished.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Larry served with distinction during Operation Just Cause in Panama, demonstrating unwavering bravery and dedication to his country. After his military service ended in 1994, Larry continued a life of service by working as a clerk for the United States Postal Service for nearly 20 years. Known for his work ethic and reliability, he was a valued coworker and a friendly presence in the lives of many.

On February 26, 1990, Larry married Marisol, and together they had three children: Jeni, Larry Jr., and Marissa. Larry was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first and taking pride in their accomplishments.

Larry loved being out on the water, often staying the night on the boat just to secure the perfect spot and catch the best fish. Whether it was a quiet solo trip or a shared adventure with family and friends, Larry’s love for fishing was unmatched. He also enjoyed watching movies, exploring new foods, and finding fun and meaningful ways to spend time outside the house. A lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, Larry never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite team. His adventurous spirit and love for life were contagious, and he made every moment count. His quick wit and sense of humor could light up a room, and he had a unique way of making everyone feel valued.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, William H. Moore; his brother, Bill Moore; and his stepfather, Vandy Rogers.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Rogers; his brother, Bob Moore; his sister, Patty Dimarco; his wife, Marisol Moore; his children: Jeni Samudio-Harris, Larry Moore Jr., and Marissa Patchin; and his grandchildren: Kade Samudio-Harris, Killian Samudio-Harris, Skylar Samudio-Harris, Amira Moore, Mason Roof, Rylan Moore, Serenity Moore, and two unborn grandchildren expected in early 2025, Baby Patchin and Baby Moore.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri. Flowers may be sent directly to Royer Funeral Home.

Larry Eugene Moore will be remembered for the love he had for his family, and his adventurous spirit. His genuine kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
