Leann Juanita Venable, 65, of Independence, MO passed away June 8, 2022 surrounded by her family. Visitation will be 1-2pm Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
Leann was born January 10, 1957 to Leroy & Juanita (Stalculp) Mayhugh. She enjoyed meeting with friends every week to sew and quilting. Leann also liked fishing, cooking and baking. She liked working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Leann was an avid Chiefs fan. Her grandchildren were everything to her.
Leann was preceded in death by her parents: Leroy & Juanita; brother: Bryant; sister: Princess.
Leann is survived by her children: Robert Venable, Royce Venable, Laura Venable (David Hamilton, Jr); grandchildren: Kaylee, Brayden, Ryland, Autumn; Companion of 16 years: Mike Money; brothers: Dennis, Ralph, C.S.P.; sister: Helen.

10 Jun 2022I wish I could be there to attend. I’m so sorry for your loss. Leann was a great cousin and we even lived together with our parents for a short time during high school, so we were close back in those days. Then facebook brought us back in touch. Leann will be missed so much! I’m still in shock and saddened about this loss!
