It is with great sadness that the family of Leona Gay Brown of Willow Springs, Mo., announce her passing on January 13, 2025. Gay is survived by husband, Ronald E. Brown, her children, Shane Brown (Melissa), Jaymie Reynolds (Jeff), Kelly Wardle (Mitch), Rachael Ross (Shane), Julie Storck (Gary), Coreen Divelbiss (Brian), 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, brothers Johnny (Donna) and Curtis (Terry) Carter.
Gay was born on August 19, 1942 in Lee’s Summit, Mo. to George and Tony Carter along with her twin sister, Kay. She married Ronald, the love of her life on December 31, 1959. Gay was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved baking for her family, which she was amazing at and spending time on the front porch in the swing with those she loved. She was very creative and loved time in her flower beds. She was a devoted Christian and had a nurturing soul with a welcoming heart. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
