Linda Jane Nisley, 75, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.
Linda was born October, 22, 1950, in Warsaw, Missouri, the daughter of John O. and Viola M. (Forth) Hayes. She loved being with family and friends and treasured every moment shared together. She had a deep love for music, it was a constant presence in her life, always playing it in the house and car. She enjoyed watching old movies and TV shows, often returning to the classics she loved most. She took joy in watching the grandbabies and the children of friends, always offering unconditional love, patience, and kindness. Her nurturing spirit and boundless compassion will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know them.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola, and her sister Virginia “Carol” Hayes.
Her survivors include her husband, Kenneth Nisley, two sons: Aaron (Dawn) Wilkerson of Grain Valley, Mo and James (Heather) Wilkerson of Independence, MO; and four grandsons: Austin, Ethan, Bryson and Tucker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
