Linda Marie Stansell, 66, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Military Honors following at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Linda was born August 29, 1956 in Jackson Michigan, the daughter of Richard C. and Joan N. Delaet. She was an avid book reader. Linda enjoyed watching soap operas. She particularly loved Sci-Fi, and anything Star Wars or Star Trek related. Linda loved sewing and belonged to the Missouri Sewing Machine Buzz Club. She loved shopping, as well. Linda had a love for riding horses.  She proudly served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Linda was the first female Sergeant to lead women in field training at Camp Lejeune.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Richard Delaet Jr.

Linda is survived by husband Richard Lee Stansell II, of the home; 3 sons: Rick Farmer of Independence MO, Robert Stansell (Bianca) of Blue Springs, MO, and Nicholas Stansell of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Rebecca Stansell and Robert Stansell II, of the home; sister, Dianna Kinsey of Bentonville, AR; and many friends and family.
