Lorraine Stella Brotherton, 91, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 11, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO.
Lorraine was born November 11, 1930 in Camp, Arkansas, daughter of Archie A. and Maude D. (Davis) Allen. She was a former member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Lorraine enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows and cheering on the KC Royals. Lorraine liked to keep up on currents events on the news and Fox News. One of her favorite things to eat were blueberry muffins. She loved sitting in her rocking chair looking at what was going on around her in the neighborhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barton James Brotherton in 2008; an infant daughter, Janie; two sons: Steven James Brotherton and Terry Neil Brotherton, both in 2017.
Lorraine is survived by two daughters: Cindy Crain (Jim) of Blue Springs, MO. and Janet Shelman (Kent) of Lee’s Summit, MO; Six grandchildren: Cheryl Crain, Angela McCabe, Timmy Crain, Terra Brotherton, Jessie Shelman and Josh Shelman; seven great-grandchildren: Savannah Griffith, Elizabeth McCabe, Cody McCabe, Veronica Griffith, Bailey Edwards, Mason Crain and Jayce Crain; many nieces and nephews and other family.
