Madeline C. Boone


Madeline Carroll Boone, 79, of Blue Springs, Missouri peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 8, 2022 at St. John LaLande Catholic Church ~ 801 N.W. RD Mize Road, Blue Springs, Missouri 64015. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at the church. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mandy’s honor to Wayside Waifs. 

Mandy was born December 16, 1942 in West Leechburg, Pennsylvania, daughter of George Y. and Madeline (Wasylink) Petro. She and Bill Boone were married in Saint Patrick'[s Cathedral in Washington, D.C. on July 20, 1963.  She retired after 25 years working for the Social Security Administration. Mandy loved to sing in choir at St. John LaLande Catholic Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister and provided spiritual care for St. Mary’s Hospital patients. Mandy loved to cook and bake and she enjoyed crafting and even created jewelry. 

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Renee A. Boone.

Mandy is survived by her husband Bill, of 59 years, Blue Springs, MO; son, Chris Boone, Independence, MO; daughter, Wendy Boone (Hilton), Olathe, KS; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Tarver (Robert); sister-in-law, Jeanette Neal, nephew, Johnny Moyle (Cindy); nephew, Tracy Tarver (Sonja) and additional nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved cats, Buddy and Chloe.

  3. Very sorry to hear about Mandy’s passing.
    Very certain she has graduated into a perfect life in heaven and has joined Renee there. Peace to her and all her family. She made the world a better place. SJLL friend.
