Mary Elizabeth Mason, 85, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Grove or to the Davis Center in Oak Grove.
Mary was born October 23, 1938, in Osceola, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Mary Ellen (Jefferies) Schutz. She enjoyed walking, being outside, trout fishing at Bennet Springs, camping, sitting on her back deck reading, and she loved her family. She attended Sunday School and church at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Linda Sue Mason and Marcie Ellen Mason; and several brothers and sisters.
Her survivors include her husband, Howard Mason of the home; son, Paul Mason (Jenny) of Shawnee, KS; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
