Megan, born on August 23, 1985, devoted her life to Jesus and her 5-year-old twin boys, Max and Manny. Her light shined brightest in the beautiful home she made for them, where she carefully cultivated a place for the boys to experience life in new and special ways each day.
Megan was loved by a myriad of people. She had a large network of friends extending all the way to the island of Guam where she spent several years developing her love of dancing and island life. She also had a vast extended family; each looking forward to opportunities to spend time with her and the boys.
In her younger years, Megan was highly involved in the kids and youth ministries at her church. She spent time serving in various ways, creating environments where children of all ages learned about Jesus and how much He loved them.
As she got older, Megan continued her commitment to her faith and seized every opportunity she could to share that faith with others. No matter the trials that she faced throughout her life, Jesus was the foundation through which she found stability and strength. However, she did not simply find stability through Jesus; Megan used her story to communicate the love and faithfulness of Christ to countless women around the world. Stories continue and will continue to come forward for many years of the generational impact Megan made. We can only imagine the smile on Jesus’s face as he told her “Well done.”
Megan was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul & Wilma Wasmer; her paternal grandparents, Harry & Lotus Hiatt; an uncle, Donald Hiatt; an aunt, Carolyn Hiatt; and four cousins, Cody Wasmer, Amy Hiatt, Chelsey Updike and Mackenzie Hernandez.
