Thank you so much Kathy for seeing what Mike could do, instead of what he couldn’t, and inspiring others to do the same. I am so grateful that Mike came into the Pillar Community because you all provided such a genuinely loving family for him that made his life so full. Mike’s parent both had disabilities themselves and loved him greatly, but couldn’t meet his needs and passed away years ago. His sister also had special needs and they had not been able to stay in touch. So it was so wonderful to reconnect and find out that Mike had been experiencing a good, fun life in your services and most of all that he had you Kathy who really loved and understood him inside and out.

As was said Mikey knew no strangers, loved to shake hands and show you his magazines. Because of COVID concerns I have not seen him for some time. Will miss his smile, hugs, and hand shake. Love you Mikey!

I will miss him every day, He was one of the brightest lights of my life. No matter how bad my day was I could always look forward to getting great big smiles and hugs as soon I walked in the door. Cant express the heartache knowing he’s gone. He will always be remembered in my heart forever he made such a big impact in my life and in the lives of everyone who knew him
