Michael “Mikey” David Savona 56 of Independence MO, passed away on March 1st 2023.
He leaves his wife of 34 years Donna Kay Savona of Independence MO, his brother Sam Savona and Carol of Independence MO, his mother-in-law Arlene Dochterman. Michael had 3 nieces, 3 nephews and six great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Clark, stepfather Glenn Clark, father Sam R Savona, his grandparents, and his father-in-law Donald Dochterman, and his brother James Savona.
Michael worked for the city of Independence Water and Power Dept since he was in high school. He was an Eagle Scout, member of the Oddfellow’s. He loved hunting, fishing and smoking meat competitions. He’d loved being at the lake and he always loved helping people.
Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Country Meadows Baptist Church 4901 Lee’s Summit Rd. Kansas City MO 64136.
All flowers can be sent to the church starting Thursday March 16th. Contributions can be made to Wayside Waifs in Michael Savona’s name.
