Millicent J. Murdock


Millicent “Millie” Joann Murdock of Sibley, Missouri passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 at the age of 85. Graveside Services to be held at Buckner Hill Cemetery on Monday, March 14th, 2022 at 11a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of God Church 3720 N. Buckner Tarsney Rd, Buckner, MO 64016. Flowers will need to be delivered to: Royer Funeral Home 101 SE 15th St., Oak Grove, MO 64075.

Millie was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 22nd, 1936 to Ben and Mary Stowell.  After graduating from Blue Springs High School in 1955, Millie met and married the love of her life John T. Murdock on December 12th, 1959. They had 4 children, Craig, Tamara, Deanna, and Jonna.  Together they spent many years at their lake house just below the dam in Warsaw, Mo. Millie retired from Harmon Electronics/GE Harris Harmon in Blue Springs, Missouri at the age of 63. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved sewing, playing solitaire and spending time at the Senior Center.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband John, parents Ben and Mary Stowell, daughter in law Jeanne Harp, brothers Art Stowell, Leroy Stowell, Cyril Stowell, and sister LaDean Mclallen.

She is survived by her son Craig Harp, daughters Tamara Murdock, Deanna Stephens, Jonna Jeffries (Travis), 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, sister’s Kay Redman and Twylia Ross.
