Nancy was born June 25, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Oak Grove High School and worked at the Sheltered Workshop in Blue Springs, MO, for over 20 years. Nancy was generous to a fault. If you visited our house, she would go into her room and find a special gift from her personal collection and give it to you. She loved sending out cards to friends and family, too. She adored stickers and would put them everywhere, especially on her greeting cards. When birthdays and holidays would roll around, she could hardly contain her excitement because she got to give. Nancy enjoyed going to her brother Bill’s house for Thanksgiving and would plan what she was going to eat – “I want lots of mashed potatoes!” Once she was there, she would always make her nephew Jacob make her a big plate of food. Nancy loved to meet up with her oldest sister, Carrie, at any travel destination because she couldn’t wait to “go out to eat and shop”! She was always buying a gift for someone. She always asked her friends and family for a five-dollar bill or three fives so she could buy more greeting cards and stickers to give away.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Douglas nee Swanson, and her father, Chalen Douglas.
Her survivors include her siblings: Carrie Kolb (Aaron), Bill Douglas (Becky), Karen Douglas, and Kelly Douglas; five nieces and nephews: Brandon Kolb (Ale), Jeremy Kolb (Sofi), John Kolb (Mary), Sarah Entrop (Kyle), and Jacob Douglas (Kaitlyn Dowling); and seven great-nieces and nephews: Mathias and Johan Kolb, Valerie, Kevin, and Marcelo Kolb, and Wyatt and Grant Entrop.
