Nancy A. Gauld


Nancy Ann Gauld, 87, of Greenwood, MO passed away quietly at home August 24, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be 11:00am-12:00pm Monday, August 29, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 705 W. Walnut; Independence, MO 64050. Funeral to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Buckner Hill Cemetery.

Nancy was born July 23, 1935 in Tooele, UT to Charles L & Reta (Bates) Lott. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Nancy served on the Independence Council of Churches as a representative for her church. She also served as Public Affairs representative for her church. Nancy also served as a Ward Relief Society President. Nancy was an avid reader, gardener and family genealogist. She loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents: Charles & Reta Lott; husband: John Gauld; brother: Chuck Lott; sister: Mary Arevalo.

Nancy is survived by her children: Dannine Nash (Michael) of San Antonio, TX; Kendel Spinks (Dennis) of Denver, CO; Kristin Windham of Orlando, FL; Scott Gauld (Carol) of Prairie Village, KS; Stuart Gauld (Sarah) of Greenwood, MO; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

  2. Her story would not be complete without someone mentioning all of the homemade Christmas stockings she so lovingly knitted for generations of her family. Every new spouse or child was given their own and oh how we treasure them. They are only more precious now as we grieve the loss of our beloved Aunt Nancy.
