Aydan J. Doneyson

Aydan Joseph “AJ” Doneyson, 22, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri.

AJ was born on October 23, 2003, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Shilo and Rebekah Doneyson. AJ was exceptionally intelligent and gifted, participating in the gifted program throughout his school years. He excelled in everything he pursued, earning the highest test scores in his sheet metal training and preparing to begin a career with the Sheet Metal Workers Union. Outside of his work and studies, AJ enjoyed fishing, hunting, creating artwork, and was in the early stages of launching his own clothing line. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was assisting friends, family, or elderly neighbors in need. His kindness, creativity, determination, and bright spirit touched the lives of many.

AJ was preceded in death by his mother, Rebekah Starr.

He is survived by his father, Shilo Doneyson of Grain Valley; his brother, Baylor Doneyson of Grain Valley; his maternal grandparents, John and Donna Starr of Wellington; his paternal grandmother, Charmaine Roderick of Blue Springs; as well as many cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.

AJ’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
