Barbara N. McCarthy

Barbara Nadine McCarthy, 94, of Richmond, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026. A visitation will be held at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri, on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m.

Barbara was born on August 7, 1932, in Stoutland, Missouri, to Farrell and Mildred Davis. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a woman who enjoyed keeping busy and making memories with those she loved. Barbara had many interests throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening and raising beautiful roses, and she especially loved hosting Christmas parties for her family. She was a hardworking woman who held many different types of jobs over the years and was always finding something to do.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Farrell and Mildred Davis; her husband, Michael McCarthy; her siblings, Bill Davis, Ferrell M. Davis, Donna Davis, J.B. Davis, and Harriett Wilcoxon; and her son, Gary Godsy.

She is survived by her sons, James Tribble Jr. (Sharon Curtis) of Grain Valley, Missouri, and Mike Tribble of Warrensburg, Missouri; grandson Paul Tribble (Casey) of Lone Jack, Missouri; great-grandchildren Karsyn and Theodore; and granddaughter Nicole Montenmayor and her daughter, Taylor Montenmayor; and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Barbara will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her love of gardening and roses, her busy spirit, and most of all, the love she shared with her family. The memories she created, especially during family gatherings and Christmas celebrations, will remain cherished by those who knew and loved her.
