
Marina M. Austerman
Marina Mary Austerman, 89, of Levasy, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Ignite St. Mary’s in Blue Springs, Missouri. Marina was born on September 27, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Constatine “C.M.” and Flora Clarensau of Kansas City, Missouri. She was the middle child of three children, Pauline Reel of the Kansas City area and Theophanes “Ted” Clarensau of Merriam Kansas.
Marina graduated from Southeast High School in Kansas City in 1954. She worked a variety of jobs including at Burns & McDonald where she met and eventually married her husband Gary and later worked mainly in the legal field, also staying at home to raise her children throughout many of her working years. Marina was a member of First Baptist Church in Oak Grove for nearly 40 years.
Marina was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gary Austerman, who passed away in November of 2024; her parents, C.M. and Flora; her sister, Pauline; and her brother, Ted.
Marina is survived by her three children, Tim Austerman of Huntsville, Alabama; Amy and Heath Parker of Auburn, Alabama; and Brian and Miranda Austerman of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Marina is also survived by 12 grandchildren and two great grand-children, all of whom were her pride and joy.
A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, Missouri on Saturday, September 19th. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with the service following immediately afterward. Burial will be at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery.
