Thomas J. Kiernan

Thomas Joseph Kiernan, 76, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2026. An Inurnment will be held from 5:00 to 5:30 pm, Monday, October 12, 2026, at Valley Memorial Gardens, located at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will follow at Royer Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

Thomas was born on November 12, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John and Katherine Kiernan. He dedicated 40 years of his working life as an operating engineer at Truman Medical Center East, where he built a career defined by commitment and hard work. Thomas enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and spending time outdoors. He loved to trap shoot, go camping, fishing, and boating. He also enjoyed watching WWE & tennis. These interests reflected his appreciation for being outdoors and enjoying time with the people around him.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katherine Kiernan; his brothers, Larry Kiernan and John Jr.; and his wife, Pamela.

He is survived by his daughters, Denise McGraw and Michelle (David) Williams; grandchildren, Phillip (Elyssa) Millan, Sydney Williams (Marcus Thimesch), Sean Williams, Torrin McGraw, and Taylor McGraw; great-grandchild, Omari Millan; sister-in-law, Leslie Kiernan; nephew, Christopher Kiernan; and niece, Sarah Kiernan.

Thomas will be remembered and deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
