Shorty was the best! The last of the really good guys! I’ve known him all my life and he was always a joy to be around; very uplifting, sweet and kind. Sharon and Shorty were great friends with my parents and lived next door to my grandma forever. Every time I would ask how he was doing, he would say…Still kickin’, just not as high. Ha!
What a terrific guy!!! I look forward to seeing him again someday, somewhere over the rainbow.

I only knew him for 7 years, but he was a joy to know and so sweet. He will be greatly missed.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Shorty was a very kind man, a great neighbor, always looked out for me as I lived next door. He and Sharon were close friends with my sisters, Ruth Ann and Dorothy Byler. Shorty and Sharon were blessings to me.

Uncle Shorty and my Papaw (Bull/Fearl Jeffries) frequently did things together. I enjoyed the teasing and the stories.. hunting together, and finding morel mushrooms. Shorty will be missed by many.
